The victim of an early Saturday morning shooting on South Ash Street in Carbondale is now expected to survive.
As of Wednesday morning, police are only identifying the victim as a 32 year old male.
In a news release, they say he is still recovering in a St Louis hospital and cooperating with the investigation.
Police have still not named a suspect, but say a crowd of people witnessed the shooting. Police are asking those people to come forward with any information they may have. Tips may be made anonymously to the Carbondale Crimestoppers.
