Former Governor Pat Quinn is joining the crowded field attempting to become the state’s next attorney general.
Quinn was first sworn in as Governor in 2009 when Rod Blagojvich was removed from office and impeached on corruption charges. He was then elected to a full four year term in 2010 before being defeated by Bruce Rauner in 2014.
Before that he was state treasurer from 1991-1995.
Announcing his campaign, Quinn said he wants to be the “lawyer for the people.”
