MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man will spend the next 5 years behind bars on a drug charge.
49-year-old James Brown pleaded guilty to the Possession of Methamphetamine.
According to Jackson County State’s Attorney Mike Carr, in December 2019, Brown crashed the car he was driving into three parked cars that were for sale on an used auto lot.
A search of Brown turned up 2 baggies of meth, 1 small bag of crack cocaine, and a handful of pills.
At the time of the incident, Brown had a revoked driver’s license and 2 active out-of-county warrants for his arrest.
