Multiple new cases of COVID-19 reported in southern Illinois Tuesday

Franklin County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Franklin County Tuesday.

  • A male in his forties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. He’s currently hospitalized.

Currently, there are two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County.

Jackson County

Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jackson County Tuesday.

  • A male in his twenties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. He’s currently at home in isolation and doing well.
  • A female in her twenties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. She’s currently isolated at home and doing well.
  • A male in his forties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. He’s currently at home in isolation and doing fair.
  • A male in his sixties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. He’s currently hospitalized in unknown condition.
  • A female in her seventies is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. She’s currently at home in isolation and doing well.

Currently, there are twenty-one confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, including one death.  Five individuals have recovered enough to be released from isolation.

Pulaski County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Pulaski County Tuesday.

  • A female in her sixties is currently at home in isolation.

Currently there is one confirmed case of COVID-19 in Pulaski County.

Randolph County

Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Randolph County Tuesday.

The Randolph County Health Department has not disclosed the age, gender, or condition of the cases.

Currently, there are thirty-one confirmed conditions of COVID-19 in Randolph County. Six individuals have recovered enough to be released from isolation.

Saline County

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Saline County Tuesday.

  • A female in her forties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. She’s currently at home in isolation.

Currently there are three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saline County.

Williamson County

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Williamson County Tuesday.

  • A female in her teens is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. She’s currently at home in isolation.
  • A male in his thirties is believed to have come into contact with the virus through community spread. He’s currently at home in isolation.

Currently, there are eight confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Williamson County.
