CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WJPF) — An arrest has been made in connection to a fire at a Cape Girardeau Islamic Center.
42-year-old Nicholas Proffitt was taken into custody Monday night on chargers of Burglary, Arson, and Property Damage. The incident is being classified as a hate crime.
15 people were inside the facility at the time of the fire. Nobody got hurt.
