JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A Benton man was hurt after he tried to drive in between two tractor trailers on Interstate 57.
It happened just around 12:30 p.m. in Jefferson County.
Illinois State Police say the tractor trailers were driving parallel to each other – one in the left lane, one in the right lane – when 22-year-old Noah Shaw came up from behind and attempted to split the lane driving between them.
Shaw’s car hit the rear end of one trailer, lost control, and became stuck underneath the rear end of the other.
Shaw was taken to an area hospital. The truck drivers declined medical treatment.
