ULLIN, Ill. (WJPF) — A Kentucky man and an Alabama woman have been arrested for what Illinois State Police are calling a “multi-county crime spree.”
Robert Sanders, 49, and Deangela Lindsey, 39, were taken into custody Thursday.
Illinois State Police say the pair held up Casey’s General Store in Vienna around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. After a short chase, Sanders and Lindsey were arrested north of Vienna on US 45 near Roosevelt Loop.
Investigators later learned that Sanders and Lindsey had stolen a vehicle several days ago from Owensboro, Kentucky and had recently been in the Massac County area.
Both Sanders and Lindsey are being held in the Massac County Jail awaiting bond hearings. Sanders is currently being held on a single charge of armed robbery; Lindsey on a single charge of robbery. More charges against them both are expected.
