SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — Illinois Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady says he’ll be stepping down from his leadership role when the new General Assembly is seated in January.
Brady says he’ll still serve out his term as a senator.
Brady was elected Minority Leader in July 2017. He’s served in the Illinois Senate since 2002. Before that, he was a member of the Illinois House from 1993 – 2001. Brady also unsuccessfully ran for governor in 2006, 2010, and 2014.
