CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police say an ongoing dispute among acquaintances led to gunfire Tuesday.
Police say at about 6:50 p.m. shots were fired from a vehicle towards a crowd of people that had gathered in the 800 block of North Marion Street. The vehicle is described by police as an older model, blue Chevrolet Camaro with a blue stripe along the side.
One person was injured in the incident; they were treated at a local hospital. A vehicle in the area was also damaged.
