ALEXANDER COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — Five people, including two children, were hurt in a fiery crash in Alexander County.
Illinois State Police say it happened on Route 3, just south of the Union and Alexander County Line. A northbound vehicle crossed the centerline, hitting a southbound vehicle head-on. The impact of the crash caused the southbound vehicle to overturn and then catch fire.
A good Samaritan helped pull two adults and two children out of the fiery wreck. They, along with the driver of the northbound vehicle, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
