A former church building in the community of Elco, north of Tamms, has been destroyed by fire.
Crews from Jonesboro, Tamms, Ullin and McClure battled the fire, which broke out Monday morning.
Two firefighters reportedly were treated for heat exhaustion.
The state fire marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
