CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police have confirmed a fatality related to a Monday car crash.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Illinois 13 and Giant City Road.
Police say a good Samaritan at the scene attempted life saving first aid on the victim, but the victim died at the scene. Two passengers in a different vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The people involved have not been identified.
The intersection was briefly closed while first responders were on the scene.
