CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating after an exchange of gunfire on the city’s east side.
At about 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of shots fired near the intersection of East College Street and South Lewis Lane. Not long after, more shots rang out near the intersection of East College Street and South Lake Heights Avenue.
A gray SUV was seen speeding away from the scene.
