Employees of Southern Illinois Healthcare will have to be fully vaccinated by Nov. 8.
The policy extends to all SIH employees, including remote workers, volunteers, students and non-employed medical staff.
The hospitals in the vaccine requirement include: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Harrisburg Medical Center, Herrin Hospital and St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
There will be a process allowing employees to request religious and/or medical exemptions in line with CDC guidelines.
