The undefeated Benton Rangers are #1 for the second week in a row but the Marion Wildcats are gaining ground, without any first place votes, as they search to regain the top spot in the John A Logan Little Egypt Football Coaches’ Poll.
Cahokia dropped a spot in the rankings from #3 to #4 after a COVID forfeit to Carbondale brought them to 1-4 on the season.
#3 Nashville and #6 Murphysboro were the only teams to rise in the rankings this week.
Du Quoin dropped out of the top 10 after their first appearance this season tied them at #10 with Centralia last week – the Indians remain close to the Orphans, separated by only a point.
