MT. VERNON, Ill.(WJPF) — Police in Mt. Vernon are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store.
It happened at about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Casey’s General Store on Salem Road.
Police say the suspect arrived at the store on a bicycle, entered the store with a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. The robber then pedaled away.
