There was hardly any movement in Week 8 of the John A Logan Little Egypt Football Coaches’ Poll. The Marion Wildcats remain at #1 for the second week in a row, Benton remained at #2.
The only movement seen in the poll was Cahokia sliding past Nashville into the #3 ranking. That comes after Cahokia received a forfeit victory over Mt. Vernon this past Friday while Nashville obliterated Pinckneyville 71-0.
At the bottom of the top 10, Centralia has reentered after Chester had a brief week-long stay.
The battle for first place has gotten fierce with Marion, Benton, and Cahokia all garnering 3 first place votes.
