MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people were hurt in a two car crash Sunday in Massac County.
Illinois State Police say at approximately 12:00 p.m., Melanie Duttton, 42, of Metropolis, was driving northbound on State Route 145 when she crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle head-on. Dutton was flown to a regional hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 27-year-old Harrisburg man, was taken by ambulance to a regional hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Route 145 was closed at the crash site for nearly four hours while first responders were on the scene.
