WHITE COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A minor earthquake was recorded Tuesday in White County.
The 2.4 magnitude quake hit at 8:40 p.m. about two miles southeast of the town of Springerton.
Earthquakes registering 2.5 or less on the Richter Scale are usually not felt by humans and rarely cause any damage.
