Over the weekend, two John A. Logan men’s basketball stars announced commitments to four-year universities.
NJCAA Player of the Year Sean East announced on Friday that he has committed to Missouri. East is expected to be the Tigers’ starting point guard come the start of the 2022-23 season. He averaged 20.9 points per game, 5.6 assists per game, 4.3 rebounds per game and was top-25 in the country in multiple categories.
Sharpshooter Detrick Reeves Jr. also announced his commitment over the weekend to Arkansas State. The future Red Wolves player was viewed as a dynamic threat throughout his tenure at Logan but injuries held him back from playing for multiple stretches of his time at Logan. This past season he averaged 7.8 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game, and shot 46.2% from beyond the arc.
