CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Three Carbondale residents are facing robbery and battery charges.
Carbondale Police say a pre-arranged meeting to sell and buy drugs early Thursday morning turned violent. Officers were called to the 700 block of East Main Street at about 12:45 a.m. for a report of an injured person. Officers later learned the injury happened during the pre-planned transaction. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Donatela Sommesi, 20, Miqual Langston, 20, and Christopher Whitehead, 19, each face charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery. They were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
