CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – The SIU Board of Trustees has approved raises, bonuses, housing allowances, and contract extensions for two of the university’s top administrators.
System President Dan Mahoney received a 2% raise, increasing his salary to over $443,000 dollars per year. Mahoney also received a one time performance bonus of $115,000 and his housing allowance has been increased to $35,000 per year.
Carbondale Chancellor Austin Lane now makes over $346,000 per year after the board approved a 2% raise for him as well. Lane also gets a bonus of $65,000 and a $35,000 housing allowance.
Both men also had their contracts extended through 2026.
