HERRIN, Ill. (WJPF) – An area pastor has died after an accident at the charity he helped create.
Jeffery Gee was killed Tuesday at the Herrin House of Hope when he was hit by a truck. The driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. Another volunteer was also injured and the building was damaged.
The Herrin House of Hope is closed until further notice.
