METROPOLIS, Ill. (WJPF) – Two women from the Champaign-Urbana area were arrested in southern Illinois for passing counterfeit money.
It happened Monday, April 10, in Metropolis.
Police say the pair used fake $100 bills at Big John’s Grocery and Dollar General. Counterfeit $100 bill have also been recently found in McLeansboro.
