CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – Officials from the Illinois Department of Mines and Mineral have been called in to deal with a sinkhole that has opened up in Carterville.
According to Mayor Brad Robinson, the sinkhole has closed Sycamore Road, between Division Street and Hafer Road, until further notice.
