CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – The two operators of a Williamson County nightclub where a man was shot earlier this month now face charges of selling alcohol without a license.
Akeem Petty and Sierra Alderton, both of Marion, were both charged this week with the unlawful sale of alcohol. Earlier this month, they received a cease and desist order from the state liquor control commission, demanding the pair stop selling alcohol at Club 262 in Carterville.
So far, no charges have been announced in direct connection to the shooting on April 8 at Club 262 that sent one man to a St. Louis Hospital. Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich says he’s “increasingly confident” that arrests are “imminent.”
