METROPOLIS, Ill. (WJPF) – Charges have been filed in connection to a police stand-off earlier this week in Metropolis.
Eric Rushing, 29, of Metropolis, was arrested Monday for aggravated battery and for being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Illinois State Police say Rushing was already a suspect in an aggravated battery involving a gun Monday when he barricaded himself inside of a home in the 400 block of West 20th Street and refused to come out for hours.
After about 4 hours, Rushing surrendered to police peacefully. He’s being held on a $200,000 bond.
