Former Saluki basketball player Ben Coupet Jr. is competing in the NBA’s Summer League this year with the Chicago Bulls.
Coupet joined the G-League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls last season, the Windy City Bulls. In 24 games, the SIU graduate averaged 5.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. He shot 41.5% from the field.
The 6-7 forward was a member of the 2021-22 Salukis after attending UNLV and Little Rock in seasons before coming to SIU. He averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists.
Coupet and the Bulls begin Summer League competition Friday night against Toronto in Las Vegas.
