Three People Are In Custody After Leading Police On A High Speed Chase

Three people are in custody after a high-speed chase through Franklin and Williamson Counties.

On the evening of Monday July 24th, police saw a black Kia going West on Main Street near Logan Street with their license plate blocked by a piece of white paper. 

Officers tried to pull the car over, but the vehicle accelerated and drove off.

The vehicle went west on West Main Street and led officers on a chase with speeds over 120 mph. They traveled northbound on I-57, turned around in a median, went southbound for some time, turned around in a median again and started heading north.

The vehicle became disabled on I-57 near mile marker 73.

27 year old Quanisha Bryant, 19 year old Jason Gibbons and 23 year old Daequon Hixson all of Florida, were taken to the Franklin County Jail.

They face charges of criminal damage to government supported property, obstructing justice, aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, improper lane usage and several others.
