CARBONDALE Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man has been charged with arson.
Police have been investigating a suspicious fire that happened at a vacant church in Carbondale back in February.
35 year old Ramil Mize is suspected of setting the fire, which is now determined to be arson. Officers were eventually able to get an arrest warrant for Mize.
On July 27th , officers executed a search warrant for a residence in the 500 block of West Kennicott Street. Mize was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
