One teen arrested, one teen wanted in connection to Carbondale shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – One teenager has been arrested, another is still wanted by police, in connection to a shooting earlier this month on the Carbondale strip. 

On the afternoon of September 2, one person was shot at a restaurant in the 700 block of South Illinois Avenue, near the Mill Street underpass.  The victim is still in the hospital.

Carbondale Police say a male juvenile has been arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm.  Another juvenile is wanted on the same charge, but has not yet been apprehended.

Carbondale Police is not releasing the names of those involved.
