BENTON, Ill. (WJPF) – Three Benton teenagers have been killed in a single vehicle traffic crash.
It happened around 4:50 p.m. Saturday Benton Field Road.
Two other teenagers were hurt, but are expected to survive. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. As of Monday morning, Benton Field Road remains closed until further notice.
Sunday night, hundreds gathered at the Benton High School for a candlelight vigil honoring the victims.
