The Wildcats continue to dominate the top of the rankings, receiving 10 of 12 first place votes after winning in Hopkinsville, KY this past Friday. Headed in to Week 5 of the high school football season they are the #1 team in Southern Illinois.
The Carterville Lions and Murphysboro Red Devils continued circling each other at the #2 and #3 spot, as they have the past few weeks.
Sesser-Valier-Waltonville’s big win at Carmi-White County continued their rise in the top 10, seeing the largest jump of the week going from #9 to #7.
The Nashville Hornets had the largest drop of any team, going from #6 to #8 after a 22-14 win over Anna-Jonesboro.
