After a dominant 43-26 win over Carterville in Week 8, the Murphysboro Red Devils retained their top ranking in the Little Egypt Football poll. That sets up a battle between #1 and #2 in a battle between the two SIRR division champions in Du Quoin this Friday night when 8-0 Murphysboro travels to 8-0 Du Quoin.
Carbondale was the third team to receive a first place vote this week, after a big 32-26 win over Marion to claim the South Seven championship.
Harrisburg was the team to take the biggest tumble, dropping three spots after a 17-7 loss to Herrin.
