BENTON, Ill. (WJPF) – A former Illinois Department of Natural Resources employee has pleaded guilty to official misconduct charges.
James Mayes, 48, was a captain with the IDNR office of law enforcement in Benton
According to the Illinois Attorney General’s office, Mayes exposed his genitals to a female coworker.
Mayes was sentenced to 30 months of probation and will be required to undergo a sex offender evaluation and any recommended treatment.
