CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A second person has been arrested in connection to an attempted home invasion earlier this week in Carbondale.
Zecheriah Freeman, 25, of Carbondale, has been charged with attempted home invasion and attempted robbery. Similar charges were also brought against Marcus Matthews, 32, of Carbondale, earlier this week.
According to Carbondale Police, three men forced their way into a home in the 400 block of West Willow Street Wednesday afternoon. Police say it was the result of an ongoing dispute. No injuries or property loss were reported.
No identifying information has been provided about the third person initially said to be involved.
