Two arrested for burglary of Franklin County business

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two Franklin County men have been arrested over the robbery of a business in Orient.

Hunter Karns-Glen, 20, of West Frankfort, and Bryan Edwards, 43, of Mulkeytown were both arrested Friday.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a burglar alarm was set off at the business just before 5:00 a.m. Friday.

By 6:30 a.m. Friday, Hunter Karns-Glen and Bryan Edwards was located at a home in Orient. Edwards was found hiding inside of a deep freeze.  A possible third suspect ran off into a patch of nearby woods.

Hunter Karns-Glen was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft, and criminal damage to property over $10,000.  Bryan Edwards was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft, criminal damage to property over $10,000, and resisting arrest. Bryan Edwards was also wanted on two outstanding Franklin County Warrants for Residential burglary.
