A man has been found not guilty of murder in connection to an infant death.
22 year old Logan Hutchings of Perry County has been found not guilty this week. He faced murder charges in connection to the death of his 3 month old son, who died in 2022.
In June of 2022, ISP, DCFS, and Pinckneyville Police investigated serious injuries sustained to the infant. That infant was taken to a St. Louis hospital where the infant was found to have multiple rib fractures and a fractured skull. The child had been in the care of Hutchings and the child’s mother, Sophia Kelly. The infant died a few days later.
At the time of the arrest, both Hutchings and Kelly faced murder charges.
Kelly is due back in court on May 1st.
