CRAINVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – Crainville Mayor Ron Mitchell has passed away.
According to his family, Ron Mitchell died Monday at Herrin Hospital. He was 77.
Arrangements are in the care of Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Crainville Village Board will hold a special meeting Thursday night to appoint an acting mayor.
