Thousands have been without power after severe weather hit our area last night.
A tornado touched down at Eagle Point Bay near Lake of Egypt. Multiple homes and structures were damaged. We spoke this morning with Johnson County Sheriff Pete Sopczak and he confirmed there was one person with minor injuries.
There were also multiple reports of downed power lines and flooding across the region.
Ameren activated its Incident Management Team last night and will be staffed around the clock.
