CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A traffic stop in Carbondale ended with an arrest of a felon in possession of a gun.
Carbondale Police say Levar Woods, 26, of Carbondale, was pulled over early Saturday morning and initially charged with driving while license suspended. While he was being arrested, officers found a gun.
Levar Woods was denied pretrial release on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.
