SIU Softball adds three transfers in two days

Saluki Softball has hit the transfer portal hard in recent days and found some gems to add to the roster for next year’s team.  In the past two days, the Salukis have added three transfers in the form of outfielder Maleah Blomenkamp, catcher/infielder Emily Williams, and outfielder Charley Pursley.

Williams is the jewel of the bunch.  She started in all 44 games she appeared in at Morehead State this past season.  The freshman batted .361 and was a First Team All-OVC selection.

Blomenkamp is transferring in from SIU-Edwardsville.  She batted for a .288 average in her freshman season with Cougars.  The Freeburg native played in 46 games and started in 19 of them for SIUE.

Pursley, a sophomore this past year, has appeared in 41 games the past two seasons.  She started 11 games in two season for Austin Peay.  The Benton, KY native hit multiple game-winning shots in her career with the Govs, proving she has a clutch gene.
