Former Saluki guard Trent Brown, who spent the past five seasons with the Saluki men’s basketball program, is being added to the Baylor men’s basketball coaching staff as a grad assistant according to SIU men’s basketball chaplain Roger Lipe.

Brown played in 141 games at SIU, starting in 78. He averaged 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. He was a First Team MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2023-24 and 2020-21 and a Second Team MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2022-23.
Brown joins the staff of Scott Drew, who has coached at Baylor since 2003. Drew led the Baylor Bears to a national championship in the 2020-21 season. This past year, they finished with a 24-11 record and fell to Clemson in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 72-64.
