Texas man facing multiple charges after traffic stop in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Franklin County.

On July 18th around 8:00pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 149 near I-57. The driver was identified as 42 year old Patrick McFadden of Texas. 

During the stop, officers found McFadden’s driving privileges were revoked and he was also wanted out of the State of Indiana for Methamphetamine Possession.

A search of McFadden’s vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and numerous pills, which were identified as MDMA.

He was taken to the Franklin County jail with charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and traffic offenses.
