CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Police are investigating a stabbing in Carbondale.
Saturday July 20 around 3:00am, police received a report of a stabbing and a vehicle theft from the 500 block of E. Sycamore Street.
The stabbing victim had already been taken to the emergency room in a personal vehicle, but ultimately died as a result of the stab wound. The person who reported the stabbing, had received a non life threatening gunshot wound during the incident.
The involved parties are all known acquaintances to each other, and names are not being released at this time. This is an active and on-going investigation.
