CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – One person has been charged in connection to a fight and shooting Saturday afternoon in Carbondale.
Manuel Cass, 36, of Carbondale is facing charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery with a firearm, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. During a court hearing Monday, Cass was denied pre-trial release. His next hearing is scheduled for August 13.
Carbondale Police say a woman was shot and two people received injuries consistent with a fight after a disturbance in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane. All three were treated and released from a local hospital.
