CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – One person has been hospitalized after a vehicle crash in Carbondale.
On August 9, just after 2pm, police responded to the intersection of East Main Street and North Giant City Road for a report of a traffic crash.
Officers learned a vehicle traveling east on East Main Street swerved out of its lane and sideswiped another vehicle before rolling over. The driver of the vehicle that rolled over was cited for Improper Lane Use and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. The passenger of that vehicle was ejected and sustained a non-life threatening injury. They were taken to the emergency room for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
