SIU men’s basketball’s non-conference schedule is beginning to take form. Tuesday night, college basketball insider Rocco Miller reported the Salukis will travel to Austin Peay this December. The Govs will host the Salukis on Saturday, December 14.
Sources: Austin Peay will host Southern Illinois as part of its 2024-25 non-conference schedule.

It’s the latest report about the SIU men’s basketball non-conference schedule.
The only confirmed non-conference game on SIU’s website is on November 4 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota against Charleston as part of the Field of 68 Opening Day Showcase.
While not on the SIU website, a non-conference game at Florida on November 22 has been confirmed by the Gators. It will be the first meeting between the two programs.

The Salukis also have the third and final game against Oklahoma State to wrap up the three-year deal. That game will be in Stillwater, OK this season. The Salukis are 2-0 through the course of the deal. Miller has reported the game will take place Wednesday, November 13.
Miller also reports that SIU will host Southern Indiana on December 7.
The March to the Arch Podcast reported in July that SIU is expected to play in the Gulf Coast Showcase November 25-27.

Other reports have also indicated the Dawgs will have a game against North Dakota State. One twitter user indicates it will be in Carbondale on November 18.
Another game not on SIU’s website but confirmed on the other team’s schedule is an exhibition game against Division II opponent Missouri S&T on November 8. It is currently slated to be the home opener.
