CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University women’s basketball team has released its 2024-25 non-conference schedule, which is highlighted by a season-opening trip to Auburn on Nov. 4.
“The challenge is to get this group ready for Missouri Valley Conference play,” head coach Kelly Bond-White said. “Opening the season on the road at an NCAA team, returning regional series with four more road games, and a challenging home schedule puts us in a position to do just that.”
Following its trip to Auburn in early November, SIU will host Eastern Kentucky for the 2024-25 home opener on Nov. 10 inside the Banterra Center. The Salukis will then be visited by the University of Louisiana Monroe on Nov. 13.
Southern Illinois will play in two-straight road games to conclude the opening month of the season. It will travel to IU Indy on Nov. 16 and then Southeast Missouri State on Nov. 25 before Thanksgiving Break.
After the holiday, the Salukis will play four games in December, starting with a home game against Central Methodist on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. which is currently slated to be the annual Elementary School game.
A road trip to North Texas on Dec. 7 in Denton, Texas, will be next up for the Salukis, who will then head to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIUE) on Dec. 15.
Southern will finish off its non-conference slate at home on Dec. 22 against the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
The 2024-25 Missouri Valley Conference women’s basketball is yet to be released as of Sept. 10.
