JOHNSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people are in custody after breaking into a residence in Johnson County.
On the evening of November 16 two masked individuals broke into a residence on Tunnel Hill Road in Goreville.
They maced the resident, battered him, and stole the victim’s truck.
Responding deputies were able to locate the stolen truck in Williamson County. Deputies there were notified and able to apprehend both individuals.
The investigation determined the victim of the home invasion knew one of the individuals who broke into his home.
Currently both are in custody awaiting a detention hearing.
